the greatest rulers are unobtrusive
thus the people are happy
and life is good

mediocre rulers are heavy handed
thus the people go crazy
and life is cruel

When dynasties are able to rule
then eventually we are led by fools
who spout out platitudes rooted in faith
inarticulately leading the nation to shame

such leaders milk disaster for good photo ops
run the country down till the markets flop
they find their fortunes in the winds of a hurricane
getting pictures of themselves flying over in a plane

these are the leaders who like to be seen in church
praying like crazy, to the point that it hurts
not them, because they are good at what they do
they have learned to bushwack you

the sage plays it square
is pointed yet fair
pointing he doesn't pierce
he is strong but never fierce
straightens without straining
just but not judgmental
he is bright yet not blinding
modest but not submissive
demonstrating DivineUnity
a prime example
of how each of us should be
